Philippines'S "Reservation Law" Industry

The Ministry of trade and industry of Philippines (DTI) applauded the "reservations of our industry law" to the US senators, who said the bill was aimed at revitalizing Philippines's clothing industry.


Philippines trade minister Gregory L. Gregory (Gregory L. Domingo) said that this is an important step towards revitalizing the domestic garment industry.

The Foreign Ministry of Philippines and Philippines's new ambassador to the United States, Jose Cuisia, have been supporting this bill.


The Philippines government urges its citizens to inform their relatives in the United States about the progress of the bill so that they can write to members of Parliament and senators to pass the bill.


A Philippines delegation led by Manny Manny Pacquio is expected to visit the United States soon to gather more support for the bill, which will allow Philippines to enter the US market with zero tariffs on textiles made in the United States.


If the bill is passed, it will not only make Philippines.

At present, there is no establishment of trade relations between Philippines and the United States.
